Aleph University services assist students in succeeding academically and personally by providing them with the resources and support they require to overcome academic challenges that may arise during their completion of their programs.

Furthermore, these services can assist students in developing important skills such as time management, study skills, and leadership skills, which can be beneficial both during and after their academic careers. The following student services are provided by Aleph:

Academic Advising

Aleph University assists students in personal and professional self-realization, which leads to the success of future leaders. Aleph is committed to providing quality academic advising, support, and assistance to students in achieving their educational goals and resolving challenges through Orientation and Counseling, based on the pillars of caring, commitment, empowerment, inclusivity, integrity, professionalism, and respect.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

Counseling Services provides free, caring, confidential, professional assistance for a wide range of personal and mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationships, emotional distress, and loneliness. There are numerous ways to get help:

Individual Online Consultations

Individual sessions may be recommended by the counselor as part of the student wellness plan. Students can talk to a counselor during these sessions for short-term support to help them thrive as learners.

Students are encouraged to evaluate their own self-care, considering how healthy habits are present in their lives. Exercise, healthy eating, healthy sleeping, fulfilling social activities, mindfulness practice, time management, and other stress-management tools are promoted.

Career Counseling

Students can benefit from career counseling to help them explore career options and make informed decisions. Career counselors can assist students who are unsure about their Master's degree program or who want to change careers and are unsure about switching programs to ensure a successful professional life.

Current and Potential Students

All career counseling services are available only to students who have been officially enrolled in a Master's program at Aleph University or who are considering registering for one of the programs.

  • Future Students: Individuals who are considering enrolling in a Master at Aleph University and would like assistance in determining which program best suits their interests, career goals, and professional objectives.
  • Student Orientation: New students must attend classes, meet the requirements, and locate advice from university officials.

Library Service

A complete e-library service is available on our website using the LIRN (Library and Information Resources Network). The LIRN Library provides university students and faculty with millions of peer-reviewed and full-text journal, magazine, and newspaper articles, e-books, podcasts, audio, and video resources to support their academic studies.

They also serve as a management tool covering key issues and ensure that students are involved in all aspects of the preparation and review process and have a voice with professors, appoints the student representative to the Academic Committee.

How Students Can Get Advising

  1. Check for student Academic Advising orientation plan in the Dashboard.
  2. Keep access to the university email account and read information from the University.
  3. Consult with an advisor upon admission to a program at Aleph.
  4. Seek advice if they are having academic difficulties to avoid academic probation (AP) status and prepare for graduation.
  5. Check their grades if they are already on probation or have an incomplete grade.
  6. Review their university transcripts, degree audit, transfer work evaluations and repeat courses, if applicable.

Student Representative

A Student Representative informs the interests of students by gathering and responding to feedback and ideas. Students may participate in student forums to identify issues for specific programs.

Study Skills Lab

Aleph University provides Study Skills Lab for students looking for assistance in developing their academic performance to succeed in their program. Students may access activities in the Moodle Platform, where they can learn valuable skills such as note taking, test and exam preparation, test-taking strategies, research, stress management, staying organized and on task, reading comprehension, as playing, and how to get the most out of the lectures.

English Lab

For all students requiring English as a second language, Aleph University provides English Lab, which offers several courses in learning reading, speaking, and vocabulary. English lab also enables correct students in mastering grammar and the proper structure of the language. Students can access the English Lab through their Dashboard in Moodle and contact the Academic Advising Department to access it.

Online and Educational Resources

Aleph University offers a variety of online and educational resources for research students to help them improve their academic skills. These are the online resources offered:

Moodle

An online platform to access syllabus, learning materials, assignments, and email. Master students may also participate in non-credit courses, conversation groups, and individual tutoring.

Library Database

Aleph University provides online access to the Library Information Resources Network (LIRN), giving students and major providers of libraries across the United States full access to an online database. LIRN offers access to millions of peer-reviewed and full-text journal, magazine and newspaper articles, e-books, podcasts, audio and video resources to support the academic studies.

Aleph University Virtual Office

Students may access the instructors through online office hours for additional instructions through the communication tools such as email or communication tools within Moodle Platform to ask questions or set appointments.

LinkedIn Learning

Aleph University gives access to LinkedIn Learning an online educational platform that helps students discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos.
